Perfect Scores Won’t Make Them Love You

Daily writing prompt
What’s something you believe everyone should know.

Hey you. Yes, you. Stop for a moment.

I need to tell you something it took me decades of living to understand: Your worth isn’t measured by your achievements. Or your grades. Or how impressive you look on paper.

The breaking point came during my first big failure at work. A project crashed and burned, and I completely shattered. Not because of the failure itself, but because without that perfect performance, I felt invisible. Unlovable. Worth nothing.

That’s when it hit me โ€“ I was still that little kid, desperately performing equations for affection.

Here’s the truth that finally broke through: You were born worthy. Full stop.

Not when you excel. Not when you achieve. Not when you make others proud.

Right now. As you are.

That little girl with her math medals needed to hear this. Maybe you do too.

P.S. These days, when I catch myself chasing perfection, I remember: no equation can measure a human soul.
