Jetpack just gave me a badge: “You’ve made 100 posts on S.J.Asher.”
A small digital star for a journey measured in heartbeats.
A hundred posts ago, I was afraid to write my truth. Today, I’m afraid not to.
When I look at these hundred pieces of myself scattered across the digital page, I see more than just words.
I see the small-town girl who clutched a scholarship like a lifeline.
The immigrant who traded familiar shores for strange skies.
The woman who finally learned to stand in her own light.
Writing about it all hasn’t been easy.
Some posts sat in my drafts folder for weeks, too raw to share. How do you tell the story of watching a parent fade away? How do you capture the hunger of hostel days, when dreams felt bigger than dinner? How do you explain leaving your homeland – that mixture of courage and foolishness that tastes like tears and hope?

Here’s what I’ve learned in a hundred posts.
Sometimes the stories we most need to tell are the ones we’re most afraid to share.
Now, with my first book out in the world, I understand something.
Writing isn’t just about being heard. It’s about finding your voice.
One hundred posts. One hundred pieces of my journey.
Here’s to the next hundred posts.
To writing without armor.
To stories that set us free.
