This is a submission for Kevin’s No Theme Thursday.
This is my first ever attempt to make a story for a picture. Thank you, Black Moon Lilith, for inspiration.

I am everywhere and nowhere.
My consciousness frolics across realities as I teeter on the edge of sleep.
The cube invaded my dreams first. Crystalline edges sliced through my subconscious, leaving scars felt but unseen.
My fingers twitch. The cube shivers. Reality hiccups.
Perceptions blur. Am I awake or dreaming? The boundaries of my body feel fluid, expanding and contracting with each breath. I sense myself occupying multiple states simultaneously.
My hand raises. Is it my will or the echo of a billion other selves?
The cube pulses. I pulse with it. We are one and many.
I am the equation and its solution.
I am the cat, alive and dead and neither.
I am—
I jolt awake. The Schrödinger equation burns beneath my skin, an invisible ink pulsing with quantum truth:
iℏ ∂Ψ/∂t = ĤΨ
Each symbol throbs. The derivatives look like hooks ready to snatch me back into the dreamworld’s quantum realm.
The cube hangs in the sky, waiting.
It’s no longer a dream.
As you close this tab, the story collapses into memory.
May your weekend unfold in fascinating ways.
Thank you for reading.
