I need to tell you about this episode I just listened to on patriarchal narratives and fairytales.
I discovered it through the Betwixt app – which, by the way, has been my mental health companion for the past month.
Stories aren’t just stories – they’re the architecture of our reality.
And this episode put words to something I’ve been feeling in my bones. The narratives that have shaped our culture aren’t just entertaining us. They are controlling us.
But here’s the thing about being a storyteller in 2024: We have a choice. That’s why I wrote about a neurodivergent female protagonist. Because those stories aren’t just missing – they’re actively being silenced. And I’m done with the silence.

So when people ask what I’m listening to? I tell them I’m listening to my own awakening. To possibility. To the sound of old stories breaking and new ones taking flight.
P.S. My journey through the Betwixt app this past month has taught me more about myself than I expected. Sometimes the best stories are the ones that help us understand our own. 🖤
