Three pursuits that consume me, swallowing hours whole:
Motorcycle riding: The roar of the engine ignites my soul. I become one with the machine, tearing through reality, time melting away in my wake.
Coding: Hours slip by as I type, erase, and retype. I’m lost in the search for clean, efficient solutions. When the code finally runs smoothly, it feels like it’s come to life.
Thinking: My mind wanders, often stubborn and unruly. Ideas clash and sometimes spark, occasionally birthing new perspectives. Time fades as I grapple with elusive concepts, both frustrating and fascinating.
In these moments, time seems to slip away. The world narrows to the task at hand, and hours pass unnoticed in the quiet flow of concentration.
I explore these concepts further in my recently released debut novel, Road Theory [Amazon Link]. It examines how the interplay of riding, coding, and deep contemplation challenges our understanding of causality, questioning the fabric of how events and thoughts unfold in our universe.
